Hey loved the show I grew up with it. I was 4 years old when the show started and loved right off. I was at the set every time it ran even in syndication! I have a couple of the DVDs now and am in danger of wearing them out! I am hoping that eventually they will put the entire series on DVD all 164 (or so) shows!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say how great it is to have a site like this up! My dad is a huge Rifleman fan, so I grew up in the 90's watching syndicated reruns with him. But even now the timelessness of the show is obvious and I expect many young Rifleman fans like myself to be chatting about 'Mark' and 'Lucas' long into the future! -Paul |

Hi Everyone
I am Sweeney the bartender from Cowgirl's site (not really a bartender in real life) and a big, big fan of the Rifleman. Very impressive new site especially the discussion on THAT rifle and picture's from Moe Hunt's scrapbook. When the internet started to really flourish in the late 1990s, I thought THE RIFLEMAN would be overlooked as far as websites go because of it's age. Now it seems to bigger than ever with uncut episodes promised on the Encore Western channel later this year and several great websites. I look forward to visiting this site often. Sweeney |

Hey everyone. I just wanted to pop in and say hi. Mike I enjoyed talking to you last week. You really helped me over the shock with Moe. I am an avide Rifleman fan and have been for years. When you look back over the years of Chuck Connors and what he did it is nothing short of great. I have collected many things from the show and I have to say alot of them came through Moe. My last addition about 2 years ago was the original sword used in the begining of his show Branded. Moe helped me get that. I have 2 rifle and one is an original 44-40. The other is a Rossi which was made for me as a gift from a local gunsmith. It took a while (and a smack in the face) but I finally got it down for the twirl. I look forward to talking to alot of you and I really hope that next year when I head for Florida I can stopp and chat with Mike.Take care everyone. Chris

Very attractive site; you've put in a lot of time and I'm sure Rifleman fans are very appreciative. I know I'll enjoy exploring it (I'm a visitor from Margie's ranch).
Also, I'd like to ask for help from other fans of this show: if anyone 'out there' knows how I could get my paws on a replica of the rifle CC used in The Rifleman, I'd very much be interested in talking with you. (My original contact for this was Moe.) Any help would be appreciated. Rob |

Hello all,
I loved the show as a kid and still do. But its meaning goes deeper with me than just thinking it was a neat show. I was sort of "reared" by The Rifleman, Bonanza, and Gunsmoke. I come from a broken home, my parents divorcing when I was like three or four. My dad went back to Wash. D.C. so I had no dad around to to raise me and teach me manly ways. I literally absorbed those old shows. My mom and grandmothers did their best and raised me right, but from those old shows I learned all about honor and integrity, treating someone fairly, doing what is right, work ethics, manly ways, all of which is the true American way, pride and an abundance of other things. Other than a couple of uncles I seldom saw Lucas McCain, Ben Cartright, and to some extent Marshall Matt Dillon were my father figures. Speaking of that I must say something: I feel sorry for kids that are in the situation I was in where about the only upbringing and male influence is from Tv and movies, but now-a-days. Because now there is so much garbage on tv and movies. So many of modern shows and movies glorify less than moral behavior, teach anything but honor and an honorable ethical lifestyle, and are filled with nothing but base, evil activities, where betrayal of a friend or loved one is common place. Anyway, later when I learned the joy of reading a good book, Louis LaMour's westerns taught me a lot. His western stories, every single one of them, and their charactors (not the bad guys of course) were all honorable people, striving to do the right thing, make something of themeselves and their lives, living honest lives with honest hard work. So to the Rifleman, Bonanza, and Gunsmoke and their wonderful charactors, my hat's off to y'all. You showed me what it is to be a good, hardworking, honest, honorable person, what ethics and integrity is, etc.. Well, I have rambled enough. Y'all forgive me for such a ramble.
